My Story

We opened Shear Vision in Milford, Connecticut with a love and passion for art, fashion, and hair. Having family in the industry, I had the privilege of being in the salon at a very young age, which helped set the foundation for what Shear Vision Hair Design is today. It was important that we  prioritize goals and obtain tools to build a space to share with friends, family, and clients to relax and leave feeling empowered and beautiful.   
My journey began in 2000 after graduating from Emmett O’Brien Vocational Technical High School. During my years of hairdressing school/high school, I had the privilege of working and practicing with special needs adults at the Kennedy Center in Bridgeport. After receiving my license, then graduating, I had the honor of working at some of the best salons in the area, including Warner‘s Hair Design, Styles International, Inspired Style, and Z Hair Studio/Color Bar. Working side-by-side with the talented stylists that made these businesses so amazing enabled me to discover all the love and talent I wanted and needed to give to the world.

After establishing so much in Milford, it felt natural to embrace my growth there. Inspired by more local artists, I opened the Shear Vision suite at Salons by JC. That was merely the beginning of a dream. With the love and support of my dear friend and assistant, Lise Louden, I have been able to invest in higher education, embracing new techniques in haircutting, highlighting, and balayage, continuing my training with Goldwell, Moroccan Oil, Joico, and Hanzo Nation.

 

Now located in Shelton, at Shear Vision Hair Design we strive to bring out the best in what we do and the best you.
